Recovering from an ironman can be tricky emotionally and physically. Best way to recover is to keep the body moving gently for at least two weeks with cross training and things you enjoy doing. Unplug from triathlon and have some fun, go out, socialise and refresh before you start your training back again. Post IM blues is a real thing too and it will come and hit you in the face hard if you do nothing all of a sudden. Keep training, low volume and low intensity and your body will thank you but do not run for at least 5 days to let the body heal and avoid injuries. Recover and train safe 🙂
