Transitions for Triathlon – Tips & Tricks to Improve Efficiency

Watching the pros can give us great examples of how to be more efficient and faster in transitions.

Watch the third woman out of the water – American Katie Zafares. She is able to catch the lead two womens including Flora Duffy & Jessica Learmonth. As she arrives at her bike she pulls down her wetsuit & steps out of it whilst also putting her helmet on.

Flora Duffy, although not having the fastest transition, utilises baby powder in her shoes to help slide her feet inside. She also has them in a plastic bag in transition to avoid them getting wet from the rain. This again helps your feet slide in and avoids blisters when running.
